As with any business, coach hire companies have busy times and slow times. This is not a problem as the busy times generally more than make up for the slow times, however, what do you do about staffing. You don’t want to turn away customers in your busy times because you don’t have enough staff, but you also don’t want to have to pay chauffeurs to sit around during slow times and cost you money.

This way, the coach hire company is getting staff who they know are good drivers and they can employ them only when they need them.

The coach hire companies can then build up a relationship with these temporary drivers and they are able to find drivers they like and can rely on, to call back each time there is a busy spell in their coach hire company.

However, the coach hire companies need to make sure that they have a sufficient contract with their temporary employee with regards to insurance on the car, themselves and the passengers. The contract should also include any agreement about tips, wages and extras for the driver. The coach hire company would also have to make sure that the driver they were hiring had all of the necessary licences as well as having been through the relevant police and driving record checks.

Therefore, as with any employees there are risks and benefits to consider when hiring temporary drivers for a coach hire company. However, your coach hire company may be able to find a quality driver who meets all of the above criteria and can make your life easier during your busy times.
