If you have ever booked a coach for hire you will know that there are busy times of the year and slower times of the year – prom season for example and the end of the year when a lot of offices are having their Christmas parties.

However, there are also busy times of the week too and the busiest time for most coach hire companies is the weekend when the majority of weddings, hen’s nights, stag nights, birthday parties and general big nights out are scheduled.

This is often good news if you are looking to hire a coach during the week as they are generally cheaper when there is less demand. However, the coach hire companies are always looking for ways to ensure their coaches are sitting idle for as little time as possible.

It is also generally harder for coach hire companies with a number of large coaches to get work during the week. These special coaches are generally the ones requested for the wedding parties and the birthday celebrations and therefore are not appropriate for weekday coach travel.

The coach hire companies therefore need to put the marketing strategies they were previously applying to their whole company, into getting their coaches working during the week. This means looking at what they offer that other coach hire companies don’t, and coming up with special extras and packages for weekday hire.

It is also important for the coach hire companies to get feedback about their services, not only about what they offered but what the customer though they could add to the experience. This helps them find out what the customer wants and when they know what they customer wants, the customer will keep coming back.
